It's past yeppoon, you go past ridges resort then find the trail that leads to the beach, or you can just drive along the beach untill you get past the islands where there will be more swell.
Well starting from yeppoon. Head north on Farnbough road before you get to the Rydges resort turn right and head to Bangalee. At Bangalee there'se beach acess (4x4). Head up the beach for a while. when you see some little green signs saying big dune surfing reserve jump out and grab your board and your there. :)
It's just a normal beach break and can get barreling at high tide.
Overview
Atmosphere
You'll have no hassle getting a wave unless it's high tide on a weekend there will be about 150 people out on a good day.
General
It can be a good spot and it can also be flat. I've seen it 6 foot and barreling and I've seen it 2 inches. You can snake the local blokes and they dont do shit:). There'all good blokes.
locals
you wouldnt wanna drop in on the locals aye. you'll get BEAT!
if you drop in one one of the boys reppin DIB you wanna get you ass back to where ever you came from or your dead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NO joke they killed some bloke the other month. so watch out! just dont even come here leave us locals or your dead meat!
no idea
Fair dinkum you blokes bellow are a bunch of absolute tossers..Farny? what the hell is farny?..its called farnborough or the dune i suppose..When i was surfing it anyone who went one would just say they went "up the beach"..This was the 80's and early 90's when people had respect for the place..it doesnt get waves often at all but thats what makes it special for the true locals boys from yeppoon and the park..I"ve had it shit many times and had it smokin also..You just really have to be on the ball to score decent waves here..
