Walk down the steps across from the laughing Buddha cafe.
Catch a barge from brisbane to nth stradbroke got to point look-out and about 200m past the entry to cylinder carpark u will see a beach down below the road off a cliff there are stairs near by to enter dead mans.
If cylinder and main is off try deadmans it's normally a good back up if all else fails. It can get heavy on a big day.

Atmosphere
It's normally a good atmosphere but because the road doesn't go to the beach and u gota walk 5 min it's not normally crowded. It's a good choice on the holidays when all else is packed.

It's good when it's clean but if its not it's full of close outs.

Dude it's Frenchman's beach not deadman's. Deadmans is the next one around to the north.

Shark Attacks
Sharks are pretty bad at straddie to attack on surfers in the past years they are just the ones that i have heard about im sure there are more and dont forget that girl at amity point. The local Shark Man has recently caught a 15 and a 12 foot tigers off this break in the last month.
