balmoral isnt at all its cracked up 2 be.on the weekend wen sydney was hit wiv the big storm i checked it out it was 2 foot close outs in other words crap! and u get the rich mosman kids trying body board losers i tell u. if u wonna go 2 a real place go 2 dubriod head it was crackin! and people say that the beaches get maxed out wen theres a wave there well thats bull i went 2 manly on friday and brown water on sat and it was an easy 10 ft and fine

A few points:I live in the area. The most Balmoral is ever good for is a novelty dig. Inside the shark nets can have a 2-3 foot wave before you are surfing outside the shark nets.I have photos and video of Balmoral at a fun size of 2-3 foot and offshore. On this day, pretty much every single ocean beach/reef was blown out or maxed out.Also in the harbour, there are a shitload of spots in great positions that will handle the swell and what is usuually a shitty wind direction. I know one spot, Dobroyd, which is probably one of the premier big wave spots in Sydney. I have footage of it at 15 feet with guys towing in. Seek and you shall find. If you want to write of the harbour as for 'pussies', then fine, enjoy trying to surf maxed out windblown shit whilst I'm getting spat out of pits at perfectly formed Dobroyd or having a cruisy little air sesh at Balmoral inside the nets.FYI, I'm not 13, I'm not even at school, and I don't live in Mosman.
