south coast locals - amazing how blow-ins write off sc locals as rednecks and wankers when in reality crew living here share waves if respect is given. lose the backward attitude crew you only look like a kook posting comments which couldn't be further from the truth re bodyboarders as an ex bodyboarder now stand-up as long as there arnt any intentional drop-ins by either (particulary when its pumping) it will be all good

mollymook point - mollymook point should not be classed as a wave for "all Surfers". it is a deep water wave that breaks infront of rocks and has extremely strong hold-downs. locals, and extremely strong surfers only.

Wave of fame. I am a hero. - I just wanted to say that I will take the claim of riding the first wave of 2003. A bloody hairy surf in the dark at the kiama wedge last night saw me ride a wave successfully to shore at approximately 10 seconds after midnight. Although I have to say that I was absolutely shitting my self out there because the surf was pretty big and messy and my mates helped give light from their cars on the headland. Paddled out with a stomach full of beer and caught the one wave and went straight in. Got it on video but very unclear although the wave can still be recognised.I am still wondering how the fuck I managed to paddle out there because today the surf is a solid 5foot pounding the beach. Although I now think how stupid I was I am proud of my new years achievement.just wanted to say that I will take the claim of riding the first wave of 2003. Bali bombing - We would like to send our condolences to the families of Craig Dunn and Danny Lewis who died in the Bali bombing. We are a family of surfers and mourn the loss of these two young men very much. It could easily have been one of our children. We hope somehow our message will reach their families. Thanks
