drive to Gerroa and get onto Stafford Street heading towards Black Head. About 20 metres before the car park at black head there is a footpath. Go down the footpath and you will see the spot off the rocks to your left. Jump off the rocks and paddle out. (might be worth watching locals jump first) as its been quite a while since I surfed it but its definately worth it
Easy to find?
Good day length
Good swell direction,
Good wind direction
Swell sizeStarts working at and holds up to
Best tide position

as always respect the locals and dont be a wanker and you will be OK
I have surfed Chips a couple of times and every time it has been fantastic, and never very crowded (although this may have changed over the years)
