Try again Nomad To Nomad who reckons that the goldy and sunny coast are better. I live on sunny coast and surf goldy heaps, waves up here are soft and goldy is overcrowded. I spent a week at Broken last year and was one of the best surfing weeks of my life. I think you need the sand in there for it to work properly but when it does it is an awesome wave in a cool setting (rather than units).

heavy!!! what a f.......g joke. The last two posts are way off the planet. this wave is seriously soft and overated. I lived in the byron area for two years. The only heavy aspect are the crusty old crew that hangout there.Much better waves to be found on the gold & sunshine coasts.

fuck yeah this place has got a point break and a beachy, i surfed this 3 sick days in a row about 4-5ft. beachbreak is fun but very heavy!

World class but inconsistent This is a wave that gets both good and bad reviews because the sand banks change alot. It also needs the right swell/wind conditions. When on its a world class barrel-both Nat Young and Mark Warren think so, and so do I, I got heavily barreled here. Needs lots of sand, east to north 4 feet+ swell, light west to south wind. Heavy sucky long barrels and equally heavy wipeouts when on.

OLD Farts Everywhere look out for all the old pricks with no jobs that come out of the woodwork as soon as the swell is up. these pricks think that just because they can get up first that they should have the wave- they all ride boards meant for Hawa11 (5'8" guys that weight 55kg riding 7'2" boards) they get the waves then can't do anything because they have to much rail and not enough ability. get a job you loosers. P.s drop in to your hearts content as they only winge to they mates and do nothing.

cane toad definetly dont make the mistake of parking any vehicle with out of state plates here. my car was trashed the weekend after state of origin 1,while i was surfing 2 ft. slop.
