blackies beach sucks ass, seriously, go to town or out moon or pilos rather than waste your time on this crap. I have been to blackies and overall amount of 10 times and i haven't been back there in about 2 years,

with the east, northeast swell with west to southwest winds blakies breakwall is the best surfing wave in newcastle and the mid-north coast. It barrels out the end and then rolls all the way in and sucks up to shorey.it goes for so long that your legs get saw halfway along the wave. its my favourite spot when its working.
