Pambula rivermouth Access
From Meribula, follow the road down to Pambula (5 mins), then once you head into Pamubla follow the signs to Pambula beach from there you can walk around the rocks to the river mouth, but it is better to drive there which is a road coming off the Pambula beach carpark. Easy to find and there is a little quiet beach on the river popular with familys.

Additional Surfing Infos
This is a classic wave. It is a absolute beats of a hallow wave. It has been known to hold tubes for 10 seconds which are nearly impossible to make.
It is a extramly fickle place, only working on the biggest of swells, but the stanked sand at the rivermouth makes sure that when the swell hits, the waves are perfect.
this place is always worth a check in the right swell. When just up the road at Meribula Bar is overcrowded, just head down here, where there are not so many weekend surfers, just a bunch of friendly locals.
  Overview
Atmosphere This place works best through australias winter months, asthat is when the biggest swells come in.
This place, when good, just has to be seen, as it is hard to decribe.
General this place is rumoured to be in the top 50 waves in the world. It just isn't well known becuase it is so fickle.
It was voted as number 43 in an australian sufer mag survey of the top 100 waves in the world.

Pambo Rivermouth- A Classic
I was screening surf movies in the area in 1978 and got lucky coz the rivermouth was pumping while I was there. I've surfed all over the world for the last 36 years and the rivermouth is still a standout vivid memory of perfection. Oh for a time machine!

DREAM WAVE
have lived in the pambula area for 30 odd years and can safely say that the rivo hasn't broken properly since around 1980.anyone who thinks they have surfed this joint good in recent years would blow in their pants if they saw it in the 70's.R.I.P STUTZ
