15 Kms south of Coffs Harbour. Set out from the carpark and take a 25 min walk through the bush. Descend down fairly steep cliff path. 'Bout a 15 min paddle to Aardvark's (main section of Brosgarth's).
The spot has two distinct areas. Totally exposed to the ocean is Old Ian's which picks up any swell and is known for sharks. Aardvark's is the main break, with a ledgy take-off and a boulder bottom.
Overview
Atmosphere
The spot is fairly unknown, with only a handful of locals surfing it regularly. It was named after the first bloke to surf it, Old Ian Brosgarth (giving rise to the name) and it is said that he had a particular passion for aardvark research (?)(giving rise to the name of the other section)
General
This spot is a local classic and a must surf for anyone in the area.
