Tell it Like it Is - To "Best surf in Vietnam is in Nha Trang" Let me guess. You've been to Danang, Hoi An, Nha Trang & Mui Ne. Maybe even a few other places on the open tour bus route. Well done.

To Surfpoint Vietnam: If you are going to use a photo of foreign surf break on your website, clearly say so.

I'm not coming to either of your places. You see, I no longer consider you trustworthy (it's your own fault).

Does anyone remember surfing just for the sake of surfing?

Best surf in Vietnam is in Nha Trang - I am originally from Hawaii, USA and have been living in Nha Trang for 6 months. There is great surf here in Nha Trang with a great beginner beach called Bai Dai which is 25 kilometers South of Nha Trang, or for more advanced surfers you can surf Hon Chong 7 kilometers north. Season here is generally between October through early April and swells range from 1 to 5 meters. There is a place called the Shack in Bai Dai which has over 28 boards for rent and a very knowledgeable English speaking staff.

Surf Season - VN only has surf for 5 months in the NE monsoon (mid October - mid March). During the summer typhoon season you will probably have to wait 2 months for a one day swell so don't bother taking a board unless you're going during the NE monsoon.

Surf during july august ?? - Yep, i'm french and going to vietnam during next july august 2008. I guess there's some waves to ride in danang, or nha trang. But can someone give me informations about those 2 months about the swells, wind direction or typhon ??!!! i would like to really explore the coast and find some good wave....
