It's on the Gulf of Thailand side of the Malay Peninsula. Take the highway south from Prachuap Khiri Khan about 1hr. Turn left when you see the sign for Bang Saphan beach. A lot of the signs are in Thai, so its not easy. But follow your nose until you hit the beach and then look for the signs to the port and your there.
Swell like this is very rare on this side of the coast, but when it does pick up(monsoon season) it can get pretty good. Right before I took the first shot was the cleanest wave I have seen since Kirra Point in Australia!! Just wish I'd had my board there!!
Overview
Atmosphere
Nothing beats sitting back and watching the swell roll in while drinking a cold Chang Beer. That's what a lot of Thai Beaches are like. I was surprised to see surf so good here.
General
