Koh Yai Mak Access
Not easy to find. Go down to bangtao and hire a jet ski. out in the distance past the end of the bay you'll see a small island/rock. head that way, when you reach it keep cruising around and you might find it. the waves come out of nowhere like a lame version of Cortez.

Additional Surfing Infos
Unlike any other break in thailand, a real wave. not exactly top class, but good fun. you gonna need a reasonable swell to get anything outta this (4-6ft) but when it goes off it is worth the hunt.
  Overview
Atmosphere Take this with a pinch of salt, cos i found this place by complete accident, and i only ever managed to find it again once. The 1st time was great cos we hired jetskis, and when my buddy saw it i waited nd he belted it 2 shore to get his board. had fun messin around with tow-ins, which really ain't nesessary, but hey. Tried to go back the next day and nothing. The polystyrene bouy we marked it with had detached.
General Don't bust your balls looking for this place, but if you got a day with nothing to do, then hire a couple of 'skis nd head out. like i said, not epic, but its pretty chilled out in the middle of the water when your in the warm indian ocean. one other thing, the name 'Koh Yai Mak' means Very Big island, as in very big waves (for thailand). Don't quote me on that cos i don't know if the spot even has a name.
