jia le shui - good learning spot was a beginner when i began at jia le shui, surfed for six months, fairly consistent, got pretty powerful when typhoons were in the mix, created a decent swell. Overall, a good spot to learn at, and good to fine tune your long board skills...

missing the waves I went back to taiwan and went to the surf camp at jia le shui and met a lot of friends. It's awesome! It was quite an experience, with the typhoon hitting on us and everything. It was fun though. I enjoyed it a lot.

well, no need to argue! i was there during typhoon with surfing pals....and obviously only locals and some foreigners who familiar with Jialeshui dare to surf there last summer(in typhoon season), they seem had lots of fun while chasing typhoon around Kenting...plus they are super friendly to all surfers with good vibe/attitude.i guess only ppl who shows up there frequently qualifed to judge what are good waves!everybody has their fit waves to ride,no need to argue & being so mean to othersPEACE

The way j-shui breaks Jia le shui is by far one of the most novice waves of them all. The conditions are usually poor with a consistant side shore onshore winds with dirty water. Its a relativley fat wave with lazy takeoff and a slow pealing right-hander that can go quite a ways some days. The left side of the peak closes ouy and rarely works. Even when it does it is rarely riden because of the current and the paddle back.Jia le shui does hold a pretty meaty wave and when the conditions are right it can be a good way to feel out some big waves without the worry of getting held under to long. It is often packed with people (mainly begginers) but you can still get your fair share of waves.

Dedicated to "the anonymous real men" of taiwan Okay… Well if you don’t like Jialeshui’s waves just don’t pollute the forum with your useless messages. I guess that everyone understood that you are a hard-boiled guy, surfing real waves with real balls. Like you said “leave the real waves for the men » Come on....good for us, we won’t see you in the sloppy Jialeshui anyway we don’t like anonymous out there
