If you're a kook, the locals at Dashi don't take notice. It's when a good foriegn surfer comes which compounds the fact that they have small dicks and hate white guys who steal all the girls at the bars. The beach is a dump as well.

Ok, thank you for the advice, but its absolutely useless. I asked about places to crash not about your personal opinions of Taiwan. This is a SURFING web site! Come on people, get it together. Another thing, I just went to Daxi two weeks ago and whoever talks smack about locals is way off. I caught it 4-8 ft. faces, the waves were pretty much all closeouts (except a right off to the south side of the beach), not that great, but that aside, everyone was totally cool.

places to crash
Anyone know of a cheap place to sleep for the weekend? I live in Changhua and am trying to get things set for when the typhoons start rolling in. I have a few boards, all I need in a clean floor.

Dont bother
It has its days, but I havent got a good wave there for over a year. Best to head down the coast, get away from the posers and thelocal eggs who think they be cool dudes

Guess I've Been Lucky
I keep hearing about angry locals at Dashi but I'm yet to see anything like it. Every time I go there I get some waves and usually meet at least one local and strike up a friendly conversation.

Dashi Blows...
I am outta Taiwan now anyways. It sucks..... what a dump that island has turned into. Anyways, the bank is all screwed and it's an awful spot. Don't waste your time going to Dashi. If you see a big dude with a taiwanse flag covering half his board, kick him in the nuts for me.

Dashi Locals
Just after I said things had chilled out at Dashi, I get attacked in the water by a local who claimed I had snaked a wave. Bullshit. He snached my board and put his knee through it. I couldn't believe it, Dashi locals are some of the most racist, agressive cocks in the world.
