These shifting little Peaks can give you both L&R rides. The Lefts push you to the shallow reef and the Rights are more flat. The average size was 1m. Be patient and wait for a good set to hit the ground.
Overview
Atmosphere
Empty spot. The locals (2-3 young cinghalese surfers) were paddling in when I was paddling out! The beautiful beach makes you feel in paradise. Rent a room at the guesthouse, they're very nice. A right hand reef is rumoured 500m east towards Thalpe. Check it out.
General
Need some size to really push (1m+). No tubes. Water can be knee high deep. The coral reef is flat.

Surf Club "The Peaks"
The place to paddle out is in front of the Curry & Tea Shop 200 meters down the road, where they sell coconuts on the beachside of the street. That way You don't hit the shallow coral there is in front of the "Coral Beach Hotel" right away.
