can be ok
Pottuvil point can get ok and can be fun but when i was there two years ago it never really got better than average for two months and this was during the 'on season'
Its a beginners wave to be honest. I cant really see it getting that good ever and post tsunami its supposed to be out of action with all the sand and rocks shifted everywhere.
Sorry to bear bad news but i reckon theres better places to travel to for your efforts.
As i said can be ok but it wont ever blow your mind.

just back from there (sep 2004)
good long wave ,the beach have verey unic atmosfire
with crazy rooks out side

great and fun wave very easy takeoff not too many people but the number is above 10 people it gets quit annoying since it is a point break wave which starts 2 meteres of a huge rock
beautiful beach and the locals do not touch your things
