Surf in Kogalla? - Hi - I'm gonna be in Kogalla staying at the beach resort for a week or so and was wandering/hoping there was surf nearby. Has anyone stayed at this resort and surfed nearby?

West coast in April - Has anybody out there been to bentota beach, and is there any surf there? Going to get married in april and was wondering if there are any good spots nearby, or will I need to travel further south to the Hikkaduwa area? Any help would be much appreciated! Cheers guys!

Help out the locals / where to go - Hey
I will be travelling trough Sri Lanka from 26th december and am looking for some good surfspots. Does anybody know about the Tamil Tiger situation around arunagam bay and the rest of the east?
As for boards, I guess we should all bring a spare one to hand out to the local people so they can put them up for rent. It's the least we can do to help out rebuilding all that was lost during the tsunami.

July 2006 - Hi
I'm a South Australian planning to escape some of our winter. I intend to go to Aragum Bay in July 2006 and am interested in corresponding with any who have been recently, and any planning a trip there same time next year. What about the wind right now? - Going to Sri Lanka soon and I am a bit confused about the windpattern right now. There seems to be a consistent onshore wind in Hikkaduwa and surroundings despite the change of season. Anybody out there who knows more about the wind this time of the year, december? Maybe someone in Sri Lanka right now?

If you bring your own board, you might be able to sell them when you return.
