Naming of Bennys - Does any one know if this spot was owned after the name of the proprietor of a B&B (on the oceanfront) nearby? Just curious - my dad was good friends w/him. I think he passed away recently.

Benny's - I surfed it in 2003 on a 5 foot face swell. It was very shallow and fast but at the same time a really easy surfed wave. Not for beginners but for average surfers. The was far longer than 150m.. We've must have had at least 250 m rides.. Either we were lucky or we were in dreamland.. but nice was it. Best wave in Hikkaduwa!
