Miyazaki-prefecture have 300km beach and there is a one of the best surf spot in Japan as Shikoku. Nichinan-kaigan(nichinan-beaches)there is plenty of lovely spot.Northern nichinan is called Miyazaki,kisaki beach also well-known by WQS contest. Currens point(tom curren was the first surfer at there),Kobukei point,Sentan,Chokusen is between Nichinan to Miyazaki. If you see the typhoon upper Taiwan,you can enjoy the world class quality.

Umegehama
This spot rocks on the right day. Some really cool locals as well and the drive down along the coast is beautiful. Look out for other spots on your way down particularly a point break just north of Umegehama just off a headland with a typhoon harbour tucked in its pocket. A class spot when it's on.
