Smack inbetween Ichinomiya and Shida. Well signposted carpark from the main Coastal road driving south from Ichinomiya. Trains from Tokyo basically stop at Ichinomiya (1/2hr walk to Ichinomiya beach - just follow the road - another 10/15 down the beach to Torami)
If the waves are good it's usually pretty friendly. The locals may muscle in on you a bit but they're pretty friendly too. In my experience. The better the waves are, the less kooks in the water.
General
Average beach break. Basically the same as Ichinomiya. Not as crowded on the beach but just as crowded in the water - biggest crowds are nearest the carparks. Average beach break that's ususally surfable and has it's day like every dog.
torami sucks
dont ever go here. shonan is way way better. dude, torami has plastic, sharks in the water, and UGLY chicks, and if you see a new zealand guy named hamish..kick his ass. that guy drank my chi-hi.
and definitely dont drink the water.

a few years back...I'll never get over all the people burning plastic around here with their garbage....I guess it's common in Japan..I asked my wife and she was like..."everyone does that"....haha...so much for the environment...oh..yeah...what about those outdoor urinals...they still there?
