This surf area reveives all the surfers from Tokyo. Chiba is a famous place for surfing and it's pretty crowded. You can pick swell until 6 to 8 ft. Sagami bay (Kamakura etc...) is usually smaller.

surfing in chiba/ kanagawa
Im in japan from 17 september until 26 september and would like to go surfin. I have a board but no car. If anyone could give me a lift to the beach id really appreciate it and would chip in for petrol. I can meet you in tokyo or by a train station out in chiba or izu. please email me if you can help. would also be interested in hearing of any beaches likely to have some waves that are near a train station.

I'd love to come surfing with you. I'm having my first day tomorrow (1st September)... unfortunately it's kind of tricky getting hold of you... can you drop me a mail?
