niijima a.k.a. nampajima (pick up island) - If you can't pick up and go when a typhoon is stirring up the surf, plan on going during the O-BON week (early August). There are so many hot, young Japanese chicks wearing the most insane bikinis. I constantly had to drape the towel over my trunks (if you know what i mean). This place goes off - night clubbing, onsen (outdoor public jacazzi), beach scene, etc. Fortunately for me, I got a good swell - head high plus. The waves were all right, but nothing to travel for.

Ya fools - It is rarely good here. Nearly always breaks next to the shore. Any decent swell and it closes out. More famous for the chickz than the surf, there are better islandz if yar a surfer.

Good surf in Fall - Surf it during the Fall. No crowds and great waves. Mostly beach break but perfect peaks. Locals are cool and food is great (if you like raw fish and rice). Summer....sometimes good but mostly a great place to get laid. Tons of chics.
