We had it firing for a few days in June, epic place. There were 10 second barrels being had by Hawaiians every set. Hard to get one. There are a group of hawaiians who go down every year, they own the hotel on the beach.

Unless the swell direction is perfect this very rare wave is mostly a closeout, with short sections ending on dry reef, plus any sign of a good swell and good tides and there will be 40 plus people coming by land with potentially up to three boats (10 people a boat) super tight take of zone, and it probaly wont be on anyways. there is no point in going past deserts

Very good wave but doesn't break unless there's a pretty good swell. I hope Tica is still working at that one hotel in Maluk. The surf's filthy but nothing compares to her giant barrels!

I drove overland in june this year, I wish I took a boat trip. Our car got broken into and all the places to stay are so crap. Next time I am just gonig to stay on Bail much better waves.

They build a new hotel right in front of the peak now. it is big and for sure you get a place to sleep there. Need at least a 4x4 vehicle to get there. Scar Reef isn´t to far by car. the wave is fast, powerfull, perfect, dangerous and scrares the shit out of you. catch a good one and it´s the barrel of your life!!!
saw a american guy there getting smashed against the reef and his white t-shirt turned red suddenly.
Try to check out the tides before you go there cause you´ll need a good high tide! no waves, nothing to do...

where can u stay on land over there? apart from the lombok-sumbabwa boat trip? how easy is it getting from supers to scar if ya dont have a boat and staying on land? later k*nts.

sharks
this spot attracks big tiger sharks that can be very aggresive. Mostley only go for lids as thay have that "pussy" taste to them.Best stay home or go kuta bali

heyyyyyyyyy, to surf ya life away fukn right on mate, you gotta live by the bus theory, you could get hit by one tommorrow!and yeah shit ALWAYS works out in the end, if you live in a first world country is pretty fukn hard to end up with nuthin, i mena in aus to get the dole is so fukn easy, so go and enjoy life and it will all be sweet asssss. as for the guys post above about a booger ripping, soory mate but boogers cant rip or shred sure u can get barrels but u cannot shred end of story, wooooo indo girls rock!!!

there was a bodyboarder from south australia here in july this year ripping this place to shreds... best barrels i have ever seen in real life. to whoever you are dude, you rip!
