Fast Ferry from Telong Elong
anyone caught the fast ferry across from Tleong Elong in Lombok to Benete?

Where exactly does it leave from? Any idea how to track down schedule?

ive spent time north of scar, needs huge swells, and its not worth the hassle when scar and supers are down the coast.

surf this place at 8 foot and u will know whats up .guys paddled in ,dont blame at all ,this place can eat u up.got a few scars myself. 5 out 5 stars people

how to get to Scar reef
Hi
easy getting without a tour or a tout Take a Bus from Denpasar to Mataram on Lombok Island includes the 4 hrs ferry from Bali Then Bus to Labuhan Lombok Eastern port another 1.5 hrs ferry to the port in Sumbawa head downwards south to the town of Taliwang by Bus
from there follow the sign to Jelenga at the Coast probably by taxi or Truck pay some for the gaz. Stay at Alis Guest house right in front of the reef Nice guy excellent Food cheap .At Low tide you can half the way at high tide a long paddle.The reef deserves its Name, easier for Bodyboarders like me I ll be there in summer 07
Better support the locals in Sumbawa the Bali Tour operators earn enough.

If yo start in the early Morning from Padang Bai east Harbour of bali you ll reach there in the evening

Scars rules
Easiest way to get there is on the perama from the boys on lembongan, ask at scoobies.. Get it right and you will have fun, get locked into a barrel through the dry sucking inside and you will get scars... Ha Ha.. This place is awesome!!

Yeah, it does suck going to a surf spot in the middle of no-where and having to surf with a large crowd of people that are better than you. I say share and share alike and everyones happy.
