Get the bus, fly or ferry into Sumbawa, normally ending up in Bima. From here jump on a bima taxi to Lakey Peak. From here it is directly out the front of Mona Lisa Bungalows. Paddle straight out through the gap in the reef.
The peak has a longish left with a workable wall and the odd barrel. The right is shorter but more punchy. The best swell time is June-Sept however onshores will kick n around 10:00 ish. March -April time has less swell however the winds are favorable.

i'm in lakey with 2 german friends,from 16-21 oct,.
that was good wave 3-5 feet,but have to wake up at 5.am for glassy wave,wind blow strong on shore start 8-9.am
and is 20 people in water on my 1st day,and getting less people in water.
no fight,all friendly,
visitors have to respect to the local,thank u very much for joey barrel for all help and information
P.S : watch out for motorbike driver,they try to ripe u,better walk to nungas and cobblestone,periscope

Why is it that all the people whinging have been back a number of times.. The surf does get a bit crowded, but where doesnt these days, you just deal with it..Its definately worth it..Lakey is a great place, if you dont like it, dont go back..ps Mick needs a new bed and some bigger shorts so his cags dont hang out when he sleeps!! Solid spaghetti napolitana but..
