The Bay of Plenty is aptly named. There is a left point break then over the other side is the right point break and in the middle on an outcrop there is a left which we had some fun on one afternoon as it was protected from the wind.
The right gets very shallow so surf on a bit of tide there. Had a couple of accidents. Same goes for the left out on the point.
The left seems to barrel a bit more but the right is pretty intense. Don't take off too deep or you might end up on the rocks.

General
We had this place with 3 boats in, so about 20-30 surfers and because of the 3 spots it wasn't crowded. There was a group of younger guys from Australia that got a bit funny. I wouldn't call it agression they just would not or could not share the spot properly. They would paddle inside or under you. Pain in the proverbial!
