Wave suitable for Longboarders?? - I am always mindful of surfing where your skill matches the conditions and a group of friends are heading for Canggu in Jan 2010 looking for a suitable, fun, lobngboard wave that will provide a bit of fun whilst keeping us out of the way of guys who really know what they are doing......any suggestions?

where to go - Stayed in a BnB in Canggu in August. It's quite expensive out there because its mostly villa's, but I found a kiwi couple who run this BnB for less $ and they cater for surfers. It's called Bali BnB

cangu pits - me and my mates just got back from bali and surfed cangu in bali's peak surf season. we surfed it a few times and realised the best time to surf it was at about 6.30am when the sun first comes up. the waves are sik and the crowds are down and unlike perth it is not freezing at that time (boardies weather). the wedge just to your right as you walk past the resturant is sik when the swell is up and its fkn powerful. great place

A couple u guyz gonna get mobbed if u tink u gun surf someone else homebreak. Dropping in still dropping even though u smile and make friendly u know who u are.

Locals - I'm not sure about that comment on locals. I am living here now, and there are so many local guys ripping. There are heaps of crew that just punt left right and centre. Most of the time they are by far the best guys in the water.

Problems with Japanese? - from what I gathered the locals don't really like the Japanese, probably due to the occupation during WW 2. When I told the locals I'm from Hawaii they showed much Aloha. The locals in Bali aren't all that good except for a few of the pros like Made Adi Putra, Rizal etc. that ripitup.
