Has anybody found any information on surfing in the Andaman? I will be there from the 24th of December to the 2nd of January and would like to bring my board.

Surf near Chennai?
Will be going to Chennai for work for 1/2 a year this sep. Anyone around that can share some info about the surf around this area? Would be nice to share some waves with a few people.

Hi Mia, its difficult to source a board in India. If you can, I would suggest you carry an inexpensive board that you can sell off before you leave. We are a group of 6-7 guys surfing off south chennai. Surf isnt 'great', but whatever it is, its best around this time... jul to nov period.

Hi, i want to learn surfing and see india at the same time. As i am new to this I was wondering if you guys have some tips about surfingschools in india and should i buy my own board when i can surf or should i get one before leaving for india? I'll be there for the month of september if anyone would like to teach me while they are there this would be cool too! :)

No surf in Goa
I was just in Goa and Fort Cochi looking for anything to surf, haven't seen anything worth surfing yet. I'm heading down to Trivandrum, then Sri Lanka on the 14th. Boards are impossible to find, lifeguards won't let you use their rescue boards. Maybe the monsoon season is better, hard to say. Any advice on where to stay in Sri Lanka cheaply for a long term stay with good surf nearby for an intermediate surfer?

Hi! Me again. I just foundout it's hard get a board on andaman. Someone thats in India and whatn to sell a board, 6.4 ? :) I'll in the south now, going north on the east coast and go to andaman around mid dec from calcutta.
