Surfing in December - g'day everybody, i live in australia and am coming to hong kong in december, i heard there is a swell worth trying out. according to the info on this site the swell is aight but is cold. This all true, worth bringing by board, i would be stoked to get a surf in.

the surf today 4/6/04 - Report from Big Wave Bay HK.
The surf was sloppy and onshore but there were waves which is a bit unusual for this time of year.
Will probably be flat tomorrow.
Water quality was poor Heavy plastic bag ,snack packet and dead fish pollution in the waves.

Beginner - Hi. I'm a Candian living in London, UK. I'll be heading over to HK late May for a week or two, and passing though again around the end of June. I've never surfed before but would like to give it a shot. Does anyone have any ideas on what would be the best way to go about this? Any info appreciated!

Coast to coast - what's up wave riders, any shore break in Hong KOng? Coming over this summer from San Francisco, CA. Anyone willing to show the spots? surf in China - Hi, I work in Shenzhen, China and I m looking for surfbodys and surfspots in the area, Dapeng Jiao or Pinghai Wan. I ve been to Shanwei from Lohu bus station, it s really to long, about 2 hours by bus after that 45 min by mini bus and finish by 10 min tricycle with your board still under your arms

Hey there wave junkies anyone for a surf - I am going to be in HK on the 20th march for a few weeks and am keen to get a wave in. I will be staying at Cheung Sha, Lantau Island, but would love to head over to the BWB in Sai Kung. Anyone interested? Anyone been lately?

Would also like to get the contact details for the HKSA (HK surfing association).

Just moved out to HK from Vancouver and am looking for people to show me the surf scene out here. Is it possible and enjoyable to bus to any spots from Central?
