The spot is a beach break with several peaks, and since there is NO LOCAL SURFER, you should have no crowd problem...
Can get BIG on typhoon swell : check the Jieshi Bay area for more protected spots.
If you want to stay there several days, you can either rent a hotel room at Jieshi, ask for a guest room anywhere or try "wild camping".
This last option is not clearly legal, so do it at own risk, stay hidden (no fires on day light!) and keep a low profile if people come around.
Great ! ...and especially because of several other spots around.

I surfed in China in 1992 - I was 15 and my dad worked on a nuclear power plant a few hours up the coast from Hong Kong I remember trying to find surf during typhoon season, only surfed once but I will admit that there is potential if you do your homework..........

that was funny - politically incorrect as all get out, but funny nonetheless.the credibility of these reports is pretty suspect. have the guys who posted actually been to these spots, and actually surfed? the reports seem pretty contrived.
