From Shenzhen, go on Yan He North Road and turn to Luo Sha Highway at Luo Fang Cross. You will pass Wu Tong Mountain Tunnel and then go straight to Yan Tian Port. After passing Yan Tian Port, please go to Yan Ba Highway. It's about 1/2 drive from downtown Shenzhen.
Popular weekend getaway for local Shenzhen people. Easy access to public beach with hotels across the street from the beach. Undergoing some development as of early 2004.
Overview
Atmosphere
I was in Shenzhen on business and my Chinese collegue took me to this beach to stay for my last night in China. The waves were about 2'-4' shore pound but it looked like it had potential. I walked west up to a right reef/point near a restaurant and it was 1'-2' lookin like it could handle some swell. I'm not sure if you can surf the beachbreak because there may be some rules against it but the point looked like a for sure if the swell/tide was right.
General
Worth a check if you're in the HK/Shenzhen region. A nice beach with some cool beach art statues of giant angels running.
