renting - there are a bunch of guys in brunei with more than a few boards to spare. you could post an add on www.bobwhatson.com saying that you would like to rent a board and if you post it far enough in advance then im sure you would get some replies. cheers

- also, if you can get a 4x4 or something, it might be worth going for a drive up the coast to check out some other breaks. from google earth it looks like there could be some decent ones. hopefully i can check it out sooner or later and ill post some spots if there is
- yeah no problem. i use a virtual buoy about 40km off the coast which deals with most of brunei's coast. i've been using it for the past 5 or 6 sessions and so far it hasn't lied to me. the url is http://www.buoyweather.com/wxnav6.jsp?region=borneo&program=Maps for the virtual map, and just click on the red dot that applies to you. im heading to tungku today, and the swell coming in is supposed to be 13ft average to 17ft max. hopefully tungku gets hit. the only problem is that because the buoy is so far out, its not area specific. so i'd say any part of the coast could get hit with the swells it predicts.
