Elands Bay Access
From cape town, drive along the west coast road till you get to e-bay. Then ask a petroljoggie for details. The break is located about 500m to the left of the main campsite. There is an informal space to park your car. Depending on the tide getting into the water can be a bit tricky off the rocks. As is coming out.

Additional Surfing Infos
The Jay Bay of the West Coast. In the right conditions, this waves gets classic. A rocky, kelp covered shelf, or small point, which turns a corner and becomes sand at a small river mouth. The swell refracts around the outer area of Elands Bay and peaks at the point, producing a hollow take-off and cylindrical wall that runs for about 150 metres. Needs a solid SW swell of 8' before it wraps around the point. If Cape Town is a solid 6-8', and the northern suburbs are 3-4', chances are Elands will be 3-5'. Handles any S wind. Dominant wind is SE.
  Overview
Atmosphere It is a really small town, with one liquor store and one hotel right above the camp site. The hotel makes really good breakfasts (especially after a sunrise surf). The bar in the hotel is the only one we came across, and often people just end up drinking at the camp site! Be warned it is a very Afrikaans area, and you may find people who don't speak much English!
General It is all round, a cool small town surf spot, with waves that can get 'epic'

West coast is lekker!
The beachbreak and shorey further down the beach gets awsome aswell under the right swell. There are a few secret spots around Elands Bay too, which work when Elands is flat.. if you look hard enough, you'll find.
