The next step Once you 're able to handle Big Bay, you' re off to Derdes. Pritty fun beach break that gets hollow but not often. Long lefts with big faced rights. It do get crowded and judging from my experience, it's best with now wind or a light offshore, so you'll have to get their very early to beat the wind and the crowds. It also cant handle a very big swell.

Nice views Good spot if the rest is all flat. Pretty gnarly take offs and most probably will be crowded. Nice view of Table Mountain and Roben Island!

derdes my bru! nice, fast wave if you get it on a good day. kiff spot if you live neer derdes. snaped my board there once. more of a doormat spot. best during wintertime.

Erm I don't think so Derde Steen can be a good wave, especially during, biggish winter swells, but it's bloody fickle and tide specific - I wouldn't waste my time unless I lived in the area. And it gets crowded - every crowded. There are heaps of superior beachbreak options in Cape Peninsula.
