Passed this spot twice by boat on work and couldnt believe it when i saw it. I doubt whether anyones surfed it just cause of how difficult it is to get to and lank sharky. Its a long heavy righthand reefbreak with alot of kelp, penguins, seals and booming with all sorts of life there. Next time im gonna try catch a few by boat but wouldnt advise anyone to stay out for too long.
Overview
Atmosphere
I didnt have my board with me last time and even if i did i dont think i wouldve surfed it just cause its so sketchy to surf. Its right in the middle of nowhere and probably very sharky but one of the most awsome waves I have ever seen. Has anyone surfed it???? Ive been here twice and last time I was here it was perfect 8 foot and cranking! Ok, not exactly a tourist surf spot but one worth seeing just cause of its seclusion..
General
Only way to get here is by boat. Its hard setting foot on the island itself but boat trips for tourists pass here frequantly. Maybe if you bribed some fisherman or got your own boat from Yzerfontein? Seriously worth checking out if you are near but i reckon very dangerous to surf, still its a beautiful and long wave, easily comparable to the best in Capetown. Life and death out here...
