More considered part of the west coast. Plenty of good quality beach breaks and a couple of well known reef breaks. Best waves are in winter swell but generally theres something all year round. The further north, the fewer crowds.

The map is a bit wrong
Firstly the Steens (Erste, Tweede en Derde Steen) are below Melkbos, and both the spots Melkbos and the Steens are closer to Cape Town. The Steens are on the beach road that connects Blouberg with Melkbos and then Obviously Melkbos are the collection of surfspots like Corners, A-House, Crayfish, Slabberts and Tube Wave....which are located in the small town of Melkbosstrand
