The point is situated in front of the ski boat club approximately 1km north of Tinly Manor town (if you can call it that). Access can be via the dirt track to the club or by a short walk on the beach from the northernmost road dead end (Dorado Bay cottages)
This spot can best be described as a semi-point break. Works at its best in the early morning land breases which blow during the winter months.
Best swell comes from the south east (usually associated with the passing of a cold front). Typically the wave is quite sectiony and works best on a mid outgoing tide. However, this spot can get epic when the swell is at 6' from a southeast direction, and the wind and tide are right.
Other places to check out are the sandbanks in the small cove just south (below the cottages) which can produce exceptionally hollow waves.
General
Serious potential when the conditions are right, dont bother when its onshore, watch out for ski boats, fishing lines, and sharks (avoid surfing alone or at dusk), some good bunny chows to be had after a good session.
