Garvies is for everyone!
I grew up on Bluff and was a garvies local for many years! Trust me the bad assed attitude is an urban legend. The original hard assed locals have left the country and were never that scarey ! Trust me ! So hope you all have a great surf, watch out for chippies rock and the reef. Great break and not crowded. In fact Ansteys is far more clicky than Garveys.

World Class Wave!
I grew up living in town but surfed the bluff nearly every weekend and on public holidays. I surfed Garvies often as well...fun waves, fast running rughts and punchy bowling lefts. I only had one near run in ith a local...a guy dropped in on me and looked at me funny when we were paddling back out, then I dropped in on him and it was all better...early mornings are best!

I have surfed all over the world, being originally a town clown, and I have never seen anything as incredibly pathetic as your macho cretinous attitude. Grow up. Garvies will still be firing long after you're dead, and it will be a better place for it. These days the Bluff crew seems cool, unfortunately you seem to be living in the past...

"what IDIOT put garvies on this sight??" Obviously the localism displayed here goes hand-in-hand with the lack of education! It's SITE for one. For two - grow up! Surf is there to be enjoyed by all - it doesn't belong to a single person. Garvies is a sh!t hot spot and I would recommend anyone surf it - it's epic when it's good. Grew up on the Bluff and I can def rate it. Pity about the locals though...
