I wanna surf Cave Rock! - I wanna surf Cave Rock so badly! Ever since I saw photo`s of the spot and heard about it. I live way too far to make it a weekend trip (I live in Mossel Bay, but I was born in Amanzimtoti ), so I`ve got to proberbly wait for when there is a comp up there in Durb`s.

Respect to the Rock! - After surfing most breaks from Umzumbi to Zinquazi nothing compares to any of the years at Cave and Brighton. Almost met the maker a coupla times - but the good times were awesome - anything from 4 to 14 ft. Rudy and The Grizzly. Doing everything from building fires in the Cave to watching photoshoots of Anne Vines Morris to getting slammed on the reef, it's what makes me wanna get back home to SA. The place undeniably deserves respect

South Africa - I use to live in South Africa and finished school 11 years ago. Upon finishing school I completed 3 years of tertiary education. I was ready to contribute to the economy! Disillusioned by propaganda of reconciliation! I found that due to affirmative action (the government only allowing black people to apply for jobs) all I could find was 3 nights a week in a bar I was going nowhere and suffering a little depresion!!! So I did the wise thing and evacuated to a 1st world country(Australia for me). Another factor contributing to my desicion to persue a better life was that, personally in my close family including my cousins and close friends everyone has been robbed, there has been 3 car hijackings at gun point, many car thefts, 4 rapes and two attempted rapes, one hostage situation and many, many disgusting acts of unprovoked violence and sexual asualt. So based on the colour of your skin you to will be a target of similar crimes. To the people considering leaving the country; do not pay any regard to others who will say that you are unpatriotic or anything else to that sort. There is nothing wrong with running from evil! To visiting surfers; Be careful!! The waves are very good though, and super consistant!

OH so sad!!! - WEll! My poor lil Bluffi Scruffies! Isnt so sad to hear how all the locals are rough and tough and come from the bluff...YET... have all moved away!I grew up in the waves of Ansteys and Brighton...paddling pools when the waves were at its best.... so stop being so pathetic! You dont live there anymore so stop reminessing! signed: Immigrant of New Zealand!
