The spot is situated along the reef of grand-fond in St gilles, in betwen les aigrettes and 3roches, tip : follow the "rue des sables", until you get to a path whitch leads to the beach, two big rocks in middle of the path avoid cars to go threw, along the path, there's a wall covered with good tags. This is a semi-secret spot, but lots of people from the place know it. |

Additional Surfing Infos |
| | To actually get to the wave, you have to paddle in the water with very shallow of water, you'd better walk a bit instead of breaking your board. Beware of urchins.

Overview |
| |
Atmosphere |
It's not a good wave for beginners. It's quite short and powerful and the access is tricky with a coral barrier to pass. Be careful with the current when the tide is high, on the right side of the spot (when looking at the water) it makes a circle pushing you right and then back into the lagoon where the water is extremely shallow. You need to make sure you enter in front of the left wave. When the tide is low you are better off walking all the way to the barrier but be careful of urchins.
When it gets big (above 2m-2.5m.) it's not surfable anymore because the wave breaks in 1 block. |
| |
General |
In general it's not as good as L'hermitage or Saint-Leu. The only interest is that it's not very crowded even on the week-end but the wave is rarely long enough. |
