Infos - Infos on sharks http://perso.wanadoo.fr/shark.run/
By Sasha , 08-09-2003
Surf/Morey - I surf year long in the reunion island where I live.I strongly advise Aigrettes left waves for body-boarders, and boucan beach when waves gets to high ( last week-end, 3-4 meters ).For surfers (who can swim), étang salé "brisans" spot is my favorite, from may to november.Never had any sharks, or problems with locals.Avoid cementary spot at StPaul, and more simply surfing around St Denis and east coast.See ya

Des spots pour tous - Un conseil : allez-y si quelque soit votre niveau. Les vagues grosissent du Nord au Sud, quand on parcourt la côte ouest. On évite les requins en privilégiant certains spots à d'autres.A tip : go there, you will enjoy surf spots for beginners and experienced surfers. Wawes are growing when you travel on the West Coast, from North to South. You will find easier if you know a few words of french. And don't forget being respectful and discret.

good wave - excellent waves, 3 to be exact. More medium to excellent breaks. Lots of shark stories to keep the tourists away. Most sharks are south in colder waters (south Africa). Le pic diable has hardcore locals but still nothing like Puerto Rico or California. Surf is good almost year round and friendly place.

Prices on Reunion? - How expensive is it on Reunion? Accomodation, rent a board, food etc? Give me some price examples in euros or US dollars please.

Surf reunion - There's always a wave somewhere on the west coast. And plenty of hot locals willing to get to know you better :)We got the best surf at le pic diable and with no sharks in sight, although there had been an attack there 2 weeks before. Just use your common sense and surf with others. Also, respect goes a long way, get friendly with the local surfers and you're guaranteed a wave.
