St. Leu
The wave is very good but you can get into real trouble with the locals. The wave must be ridden from the begining to get the feeling. Go early, 6am if you don't want to find the nasty locals.

Go To Reunion!
This spot rocks! Yes there is localism. Do not let the put you off, when I surfed there, every morning at sun up, even weekends, there was just a handful of people out! Surf till 10 in the morning, have a ood breakfast and then head into the country side/ up the volcano. I have visited many islands and Reunion is one of the most amazing. If you do not want to sight see, just go surfing somewhere else the rest of the day...10/10!

GPS is wrong???
From what I can tell it appears the GPS image for this spot is wrong. The reef point shown on google here is another spot south of St Leu but I'd like to know what spot it IS showing. Looks sick but none of the sites I've visited seem to detail it... (it seems to be near but wrapping to the left [South] and around outside where sufline.com labels Etang-Sale-les-Bains).

Can't remeber the name, there is a hostel that is right in front of the St leu's wave, you cross the road and paddle out, if you catch the bus from St Dennis you will not miss it, it is cheap and gives options of your own or share rooms. If it is full, just walk around town and you will come across some more. It is the "winter' season, you will have no problems finding somthing. If you barter and tell them that you saw another place for 10 Euro a night less, at this time of year they will drop the price straight off.

wdf is wit the asp world tour, theyve added reunion to the world tour and there is not 1 fukin indo spot!!! surely the best waves in the world deserves a surf competion for the worlds elite

a day in a surfer life...
First i want to welcome all the soul surfer in reunion island!
I was born in reunion island, i am living just one hundred meter front of the great st leu's left!
Today, there was 4 feet at st leu and all the bastard local were in the water today! Most of them surf with a finger in their ass and are as stupid as my shit.
One of them pushed his board on me and cut my foot. I am living and surfing every day here! Some of the local need an injection of intelligence, modesty and surf spirit. This guy is a real bastard(gros connard)

Some of surfers need to know the feeling!
