cryin shame - It sure is a crying shame to understand that a land so rich in natural resources and human resources, is so unorganized and pitifully exploited. These countries have everything you could want with great surf to boot. Only problem is heavy corruption and rampant poverty next to enormous wealth.Sure would love to surf the good waves. Ivory coast has some beauties near Bassaam. Pristine surf in a war ravaged land. Hey guys what about Uniting Africa and sticking together. You would be the most powerful nation in the world. Clean up the place and don't let the old fashioned colonialism interupt your desire to be truly free. Or don't let one man rule, that never worked before. Go forward, spread the wealth, educate your masses. Africa is the United States of the 21st century. Imagine The state of Nigeria, Mali, Burkina Faso, South Africa etc... You could revamp the infrastructure of the entire continent with the rich countries helping the poor. There are beautiful elefants that still roam Burkina Faso up to Parts of Mali. It would certainly be a shame if that one day ends. Hemp is not dangerous, it is fuel, fiber, gives off oxygen, can be made into biodegradable containers, hell, we can make it into non toxic foam for surfboards. Africa can be the model for all the countries that got it wrong from the start. Hydroelectric power still vastly unexploited can provide electricity cleaner than burning fossil fuels for everything. Brazil does a better job than we do in the states. Armegedon is closer than you think. "If I say it is safe to surf this beach soldier, it is safe to surf this beach" JJD 08 12 05
