Oranjemund is in the very south of Namibia, at the mouth of the Orange River. This spot is at the mouth itself, and there is only one road going to it, easy to find. It's wedged in between the river and a forbidden diamond mining area. |

This is a pretty unique spot. As far as i know i'm the only person ever to surf it! Because of the hectic diamond mining in this area, the whole coast is closed to the public. You need a huge number of permits to get into this little town, which is filled with dirty miners! I've surfed it about a dozen times, and it has some good potential. Went in today and it was great with an offshore. But Easterly winds are quite rare. |

It's often quite a nice beach break, which changes a lot because of the river mouth. Water is pretty cold, but you definately won't find any crowds! |
