In Inhambane at the jetty turn right into Independence Ave. at the University turn right again and then take the second turnoff to the left signed 'Tofo Beach'. Follow tar road, turn right 1km before reaching Tofo. Follow gravel road and at the junction turn right to 'Tofo Beach Cottages' which lies at Tofhino.
Park your car before on the hill rather than the parking lot. Shorter walk. Don't surf the Point break at the beginning of the bay!!! A deep pit but only 10cm of water,sharp rocks:-/ Surf the break at the small point in the middle of the bay!
Shark area?
Hey, Just reading the comments I saw that you guys wrote that it is really sharky...but, does anyone now how many sharks attacks on surfers?
Just wondering because I will be there around august...

Itīs TOFINHO not Tofhino.
The termination INHO stands for little in portuguese. Tofinho means little Tofo.

Super fun wave in an awesome location. To the poster below me, the google map spot is correct. If you zoom in you can see the monument. I surfed here for about a week and surfed with Pedro a few times. Watch out for sharks for sure. I got chased out of the water by a 5ft. tiger.
