The perfect right is dead at the bay... In may 2011 during my surf trip the sand banks were not at the good place to create the waves.

Is the ride at the bay still so long? - I went to Immessouane early this year and everyone was complaining that the sandbar at the bay had disappeared and that the spot had become now just a regular beach break. Does anyone knows if the sand bar is now back ? apparently it was not teh first time it went away.

- locals start to hassle in the water. they have longboards and tend to drop in all the time. they don't surf the whole wave into the bay, just the first 50m, then kick off and come racing back just to drop in again!

watch out for abandoned hooks!!!!
it's better if it gets bigger, the shortboarding locals are much cooler and share waves (because it's a massive paddle back to the point)
speak french and by stuff in the 'surf-shop' eventually it will get better...

- Found it to be very much a longboard wave on small to medium swells though long enough. Town quite grotty -path to the wave doubles as a latrine. Stay at the Hotel for friendliest service.
