TOURIST SURFERS TAKE ADVICE. - I fully agree with the last comments posted below. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Its about time all us Tourist Surfers stood up for OUR RIGHTS to be able to Enter the Surf at TAMARIN, WITHOUT FEAR of of any kind of VIOLENCE towards us. But always show the LOCALS RESPECT and go about your Surfing in a Quite Manner 3 EASY RULES to Remember, Dont paddle on the inside of Locals, Dont expect to take any wave, Wait yor turn and show Respect. The "WHITE SHORTS" Must remember they dont OWN THE OCEAN, and any person can surf at Tamarin without VIOLENCE being shown towards them. The TOURIST POLICE will be very interested to Talk to any "WHITE SHORTER" that shows VIOLENCE against a Paying Tourist Surfer, This treatment to Tourist Surfers will not be tolerated by the POLICE or the COAST GAURD POLICE, This White Short attitude is very BAD for Tourisim across the Whole Island and the TOURIST POLICE Will be there to make sure the Tourist are NOT THREATENED in Any Way. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, Tourist Surfers dont need to take this crap from the White Short. Take the previous writers advice and Store those Phone Numbers in your Mobile if you are planning a SURF TRIP to MAURITIUS. And dont be AFRAID to phone The TOURIST POLICE and The BLACK RIVER COAST GAURD POLICE if your having any PROBLEM whatsoever with any WHITE SHORTS. Remember your Tourist Dollar is VERY VERY IMPORTANT TO THE MAURITIAN GOVERNMENT, and they dont need BAD IMAGE coming from any White Short Goon ENOGH IS ENOUGH.

Also mention its very bad for tourist to be treated in this manner, its bad for Tourisim, The TOURIST POLICE will be very interested of your complaint as well as the Coast Gaurd POLICE, EVERYONE who wants to go and surf TAMARIN make sure you have these Telephone Numbers LOCKED IN YOUR MOBILE PHONE. MAURITIUS TOURIST POLICE TELEPHONE 213 2818. BLACK RIVER COAST GAURD POLICE TELEPHONE 483 6922.

About White Shorts - Hi everyody, The white shorts are retarded they think the beach belongs to them :-) here are some information about them. They all white and most of them are religious christian ;-) thats the true... Not really expect this from a christian right? Anyway the founder of this retards are the idiots who own the surf center next to Tamarin Hotel. They teaching how to surf to tourists and will only rent you out a board if the waves re small otherwise you will not get one. So basically they all into tourism nowadays so I highly recommend you not to learn surfing with them, book a boat trip (swimming with dolphines), or rent any surfboards there. This 3 brothers do not deserve any tourists as they chased them away and still dont like them surfing there. The biggest cunt from the white shorts is a late 40s guy his name is Bruno and he is specially retarded. Some people even say he is an inbread...which couls be possible on a small island. Bruno is still acting like a real bustard so he never really grow up. I suggest to anybody should u meet Bruno or any of this inbreads in Tamarin do not talk to them. Just punch them in the face as and dont feel afraid. The police in Mauritius does not give a damn about any of this bustards. In fact a lot of people in Mauritius would appreciate it! So much to the good christians white shorts:-) the biggest joke on our island. Happy surfing if u need to have more details let me know. Cheers

Bad Energy at Tamarin - Find it very sad there is such a negative juvenile and mindless attitude at Tamarin it is a beautiful bay with stunning views when the surf is working it is superb as it were today. However the energy and attitude from the local Mauritian surfers is awful they really spoil this natural beauty that has been created for all to enjoy. A sport such as surfing is to be at one with the ocean for all to safely enjoy and respect what happened to looking out for each other in the surf rather than looking to push you out as they do in Tamarin I would advise anyone thinking of surfing in Mauritius to choose another destination and let the local Mauritian surfers have there ride and there aggressive mindless attitude with it!

Let them starve. - I was planning a surf trip to Mauritius but after doing some research I guess I will be spending my hard earnt money elsewhere.Sounds like the whole localism issue is a real problem here. I know it is probably not much better in some places in my country but we don't rely on tourism.Must remember to make the next person from Mauritius I come across in my country feel as uncomfortable as I can (bruising/broken bones etc.).Hopefully after a while they'll learn their lesson or starve to death.
