The reef break to the south is for more experienced surfers and deserves a spot-sheet to itself!watch out for the whiteshorts (locals)! on its day there is not a drop of water out of place and all you have to do is take off and wait, you'll get covered and then let out 100m down without twitching a muscle.

There is a hard localism. Foreigners are not allowed by the "white shorts". the backdrop is volcanic and the bay is incredibly pretty. it works rarely but when its on - no wave in the world is close.

The locals are not only the creole crew. You talk shit man. Every guys on this island are from another land but this is a old story right? Now at this time the the creole crew AND THE WHITE guys are locals right? But thats not the big problem the real problem is that foreigners are a real pain in the ass, they come and think they are on their own land. Guys its the same everywhere in the world, locals want respect. Anyway you can come in mauritius, be like you want to be, do what you want to do but be careful. Most of foreigners surf like bitch but think they are good surfer, they come on the line up and cant surf the fucking wave.. Dont try to surf a wave if you dont have the skills to.

I AGREE WITH LAST GUY.
THE REAL SURFERS AT TAMARIN ARE THE CREOLE GUYS,THEY HAVE RESPECT AND SHARE THE WAVES IF YOU PLAY BY THE LOCAL RULES, WHEREAS WITH THE WHITE SHORTS THEY PLAY BY THEIR RULES OF HATE & AGGRESION FOR ANY VISITING SURFER THAT IS IN THE LINE UP.
THE CREOLE GUYS ARE NATURAL SURFERS THAT SHOW STYLE AND GRACE IN THE WATER AND ON LAND. THEY WILL JOKE AND TALK WITH YOU AND SHARE A BEER AND MAKE YOU FEEL WELCOME IN THEIR VILLAGE. THE WHITE SHORT CREW ARE SO UNFRIENDLY AND SUCH UGLY SURFERS WITH NO STYLE AND VERY LITTLE BRAINS TO KNOW THE REAL MEANING OF SURFING.

Just a sparkle in your Dads eye,or a bit of sperm floating around in his ball bag, Most of u so called White Shorts all came back from South Africa When Nelson Mandella Took Power all your families were running Scared and all Returned back to the country that they deserted in the 60's & 70's to chase the Gold And the big bucks.
