surfing Mauritius
Hey,
I'm going to Mauritius in December... Just started surfing this summer, but would really like to try it in Mauritius.. Do you know what's the best spot for beginners, and is there a place where I can rent a board? Tnx.

hi guys, I want to go surfing there around april-may...I alone and your comments afraid me a little. I'm not attrackted by bikini beach stuff and getting tanning on beach...so do u thing i can try to got surf waves and come out of the water with out be kiking out...?

Forget the forgotten island
I visit Mauritius some days ago.
Beautiful weather, good waves, not many surfers in the water.
But bad locals.
First day in Tamarin and a local ( a white short blond hair man named Bruno or something)yellin to me and friends and punch me without a reason.
Another day in One Eye a red hair guy yellin to me and other surfers, so we decide to go out.
I visit many surf places in the world but I never see a thing like that.
Probably I forget the island and advise it.
Mauritians don't let that two idiots give a bad image of your country !

yes yes i was joking!!

just me and the wife.
i had the best time ever!! this place is AMAZING!! surfed one-eye a couple of times with 3-4 guys outm no problems at all.( in the day time so the locals are work).. but take a drive along the coast road and you will find so many waves with no-one out!! this island is 10 times better then a bali trip!!

i hope you were joking about your team of 30 surfers...You are going to have a wild reception if it is the case...Trust me, mauritian locals can barely stand one or two foreigners at a time...so 30!!hope you brought loads of sunscreen because you are going to spend loads of time on the beach :D

guys/girls im headed out to Pointe aux Piments from mid march to mid april '09 who or how could i hook up with some surfers for a wave every now and then black rocks and tamarin point is pretty close? is there locals that will take us out? ross@thirstbarservices.co.za

i'm a part of a team of 30 surfers which have booked and paid for a 2 week holiday in May.. oh well i guess we'll have to all get white shorts!! can you buy waves?

i didnt encounter any problem surfing there the local are great no sharks had an awesome time out there
