Trip: My Surfing Virginity

Surf trip description:

My girlfriend and I took a group lesson/ surf trip through HSU center activities in mid-September. This would be the last time that I can remember the swell in NorCal to be beginner-friendly- I've had a wintertime learning curve ever since...the trip was awesome, first day we went to Moonstone Beach and played around on the beach and in the whitewash on 10 ft longboards. nuff' said. Sunday we drove to Crescent City and surfed South Beach- much more fun, finally got a board under 9 ft to ride and had a blast. Thanks to the surf instructors: Bryan, Tom, Kai, and Jen for teaching me the basics and helping lose my virgin surfer status. I would definetley reccomend this trip for anyone who wants to get into surfing the right way, it was only about $40 for lessons, wetsuit, and board for the whole weekend and the instructors are as cool as you would expect them to be in Humboldt County.
